When I read about the SIT STAR contest, I'd just got a Bachelor degree at MIPT. So I realized that it was my chance to continue with a master in Europe. I hadn't participated in contests since the 2nd year but decided to try. There were about 12 tasks with increasing difficulty. The first ones were quite easy, but then I had to think more and more and finally didn't solve the last two. I got about the 70th place, but fortunately, not everybody above me wanted to join the master degree and I got in!
