About SIT
Addressing the world challenges through Science, Education and Technology
A global Institution founded by entrepreneurs, led by scientists and advanced world-class researchers
Founded in 2019, SIT is an international research-led institution headquartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Interdisciplinary by design, the SIT ecosystem is driven by a common purpose: tackling the main problems of the world through science, education, and cutting-edge technology.
To serve that mission, SIT is constantly developing expertise and services in eight focus research areas: Quantum Technology, Advanced Materials, Software Engineering, Machine Intelligence & Computer Science, Quantum Business Science, Life Sciences, Autonomous Systems & Robotics, Cyber Protection & Information Integrity.
SIT relies on a network of major partners in industry and academics including partnerships with some of world’s top-ranked universities, as well as with the recently acquired Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany.
SIT is also supported by a strategic advisory board composed of some of the world’s most prominent scientists and academics, chaired by Nobel Prize Winner Sir Konstantin Novoselov.
